Being alone relieves

You are born in loneliness; you enter the world of the dead alone. What is between the two, i.e. life, is also full of loneliness. Most of us, however, confuse being alone with loneliness. Loneliness is when we are hungry for other person, it is a disease of the soul; on the other hand, being alone is in human nature and at the same time a cure.

What does your character tell you about ilnesses?

We often feel ill, but our illness objectively exists only after a physician diagnoses it on the basis of specific criteria (lab tests results, physician’s examination obdukcja, osłuchanie, etc.). From this moment on our treatment starts. In fact, physicians usually only assist us in our illness by administering remedies that are available to them.

We consider it normal because such a way of dealing with the disease is accepted in our society.  Simultaneously, due to the way we are living nowadays, diseases are impossible to avoid. We work too long, hurry back home, deal with many problems of everyday, upbringing of children, worry about having insufficient earnings too less money for our expenditure each month–all this results in serious diseases.

(…)

Of course, physical factors also exert an influence on the condition of our mind or our mood . For example, depression lowers the immunity of organism and is connected with lower activity of lymphocytes (natural destroyers of viruses) as well as with quantitative and qualitative changes in white blood cells. At the same time in the increased levels of cortizol, adrenaline and  noradrenalin, that is hormones which regulate our immunological system, grow. Accordingly, there is a vicious circle: Lack of immunity is a cause of depression, and in turn, depression results in further lowering of our immunity.

But it is our mind that decides about the way we are feeling and interpret our maladies: weather we overestimate them or, on the contrary, neglect. If one is on the while in the group of nervous and stressed people, than the messages sent by our body will be treated seriously, making us seek the advice of a physician. If one is sensitive to opinion of our family and relatives, and they persuade oni wmówią nam złe samopoczucie, one will make an appointment with a doctor. And if one believes that one has a health trouble, we will try to convince our family, and later also a physician, that we are ill.

Unless you do realize that being alone is part of our nature and there is no way to avoid it, you will be entangled in various harmful relationships, moving between initial admiration and final disappointment. To get rid of illusion of escape from being lonely is the first step to heal the soul, mind and, in the end, your body.

You are alone throughout all your life. The sooner you understand it, the better it is for you.

Sometimes you will need separation and distance from people for some time in order to cure the wounds they inflicted in you. Because these wounds will not heal in the presence of others. Escape into being alone can act as a drug–the experience of being alone helps understand that the entire life is cumulated inside us. And the moment of recovery will come when we recognize that nobody can do more harm and inflict more wounds to us. We will be filled than with joy and satisfaction so great that we can share them sincerely with others.

(…)

It is nice to be alone, but this does not mean that it is not nice to fall in love or enjoy a marry company. Being alone and being in the company of other people do not exclude as opposites but they are complementary.
